Friday: We saw Amy G play her ukulele at the Bar on A. She also played a kazoo in a way that I had never ever seen before. Some of us believed she did it really played it this way and others did not. Also she had a bra of skulls that sang, but that was just a warm up to this outrageous kazoo work.
Saturday: I woke up and went to see Sheila in Fort Greene. She agreed to teach me some Mac for my new temp job in which I'm working on a Mac because my Boss loves them. I loved them too after I discovered the magic of the F9 key. You know what I'm talking about, Mac users! Oh baby!
Later we had a BBQ on the roof in honor of our friend Waffle who is leaving to go to Florida to see her sister's boo-boo and then to London to finish her Alexander school. It was a great time. Things I remember are: making everyone try my honey-mustard chicken, my CD mix working better than I anticipated and Crystal watching us all dance and saying, "I could cast everyone in an Archie comic right NOW."
I will miss Waffle greatly. I will miss her laugh, her patience and humor about my crankiness, and hearing her hilarious and beautiful writing. She will be back in August and we will see her after that but we want to give her a good send off and let her know that Brooklyn is pulling for her! Follow Rodley Parker's London sweets advice and Godspeed, Waffle.
Sunday: What the hell happened? Oh yeah, I bought all these clothes I couldn't really afford at these places I don't know really agree with politically, but I tell you I got some jeans that I really love. Are Fridays casual around this place? Let me know because I've got some jeans I really want to show off.
Also in here is a picture that represents how hot and muggy it was on Saturday. It was so hot and muggy we put an ice pack on top of Eliott and he didn't mind a bit.
